Our Celer, Fresh From The London To Brighton Rally

News Archive – Where’s the CELER car? (2012)

  • News

Anyone visiting the museum in recent weeks will have noticed another old favourite missing at the moment. The Celer car is away for its annual service and MOT prior to running in this year’s London to Brighton Run. This 60-mile run commemorates the abolition of the need for a man to walk in front of a car and the raising of the speed limit from 4 mph. to 14 mph.

The car will once again be driven by Brian Hodges and Andrew Smedley. Let’s wish them luck and a safe journey and hope they make the finish within the time. We look forward to seeing the Celer back in the museum in the next week or so.
