Wollaton Arts Festival Big Picnic Finale

Bring your picnic, and something to sit on!
The grand finale for the Wollaton Arts Festival will take place as a ‘Bring and Share’ Big Picnic with entertainment, activities, and fun! Come and visit our stand at The Big Picnic at Wollaton Park. You will find our Nottingham Industrial Museum gazebo and activities there from 12pm – 4.30pm.
We invite you to bring a plate of food to share. Your plate will contribute to a community picnic sharing buffet, free for people who bring something to share – sweet or savoury, meat or veggie. Just bring your plate to the sharing tent and you will receive a token that will allow participation in this picnic. Please note that the organisers cannot be responsible for any food allergies and dietary requirements. There will also be food stalls in the area.
Spin Art Bike, 12:00pm – 6:00pm
Make a spectacular spin painting to take home.
Bling Up Your Bike, 12:00pm – 4:00pm
Bring your bike and give it a personalised touch! Make your own bike streamers, illustrate and design your own number plates, and decorate your wheels.
Build A Tree, 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Come along to three hours of making with Playworks. We will be creating a large tree, where you can leave a message and share your thoughts about the festival.
Tie-dye Workshop, 12:00pm – 1:30pm
Join Hannah Ziolek to make beautiful tie-dye buntings.
Kite-making Workshop, 1:30pm – 3:00pm
Come along and join Annette Waterfield to make kites.
Teddy Bears’ Picnic, 3:00pm and 4:00pm
Nottingham Asian Arts Academy Dhol Drummers
Schmörgan, 2:00pm and 5:40pm
Jazz music played by Schmörgan a 1960s beatnik-jazz enthused ensemble comprising Matt Radcliffe on organ, Ian Beestin on drums, and Jeanie Barton on vocals and percussion. They are a popular local jazz band who have gained a reputation from appearing as part of Oxjam.

All performers will come together to put on a performance to mark the grand finale of the Wollaton Arts Festival.
Arts Festival Bake Off
Searching for our own baking star, we invite you to bake a cake – a longstanding family favourite or a daredevil showstopper. Cakes must be entered by 3:00pm and the winner will be announced at 5:00pm. There are two categories, under 18 and 18+. All cakes will be raffled with money being donated to the Festival to pay for free activities. (By entering the Bake Off you agree to donate your cake to the raffle.)
