Whizz! Bang! Pop! Science Day at Nottingham Industrial Museum
Saturday, 10 March 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Normal entry charges apply
To celebrate British Science Week and Science in the Park, we will be holding a fun day of science experiments aimed at engaging and delighting the whole family.
Our talented team of volunteers will be running experiments and demonstrations – Dry Ice, UV light, solar powered bugs, bath bombs, thermal imaging, miniature engines, battery lemons, oscilloscopes and lots more…
We are open from 11am to 5pm so you will also have plenty of time to fully take in our displays of local industrial heritage, covering lace making, local industries (such as Players, Raleigh, Boots), printing, motorcycles, bicycles, railways and an outdoor display of mining. We also have tractors on display as well as a model railway.
As well as FREE entry for children, we have a range of FREE children’s activities, including colouring sheets and ‘hunt the object’ trails, so your little ones will be entertained too.
If it’s nice weather why bring a picnic and spend the day exploring the Wollaton Hall and the Deer Park? You can feed the birds on the lake, admire the beautiful deer and have your photo taken at Wayne Manor from the Batman film.
Normal entry charges apply, in addition to normal Wollaton Hall and Deer Park parking charges:
Adults £3
Concessions £2
Children under 16 FREE
Some areas of the museum may not suitable for wheelchairs or prams – please ask at the Front Desk for help or advice. A small charge will apply for some activities to cover costs of the materials
