‘A Grand Day Out’ Steampunk Gathering at Nottingham Industrial Museum
Sunday, 25 February 2018 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Live Action Working Day charges apply
As preparation for a bigger Steampunk event later in the year, we offer you ‘A Grand Day Out’ – it’s one of our special working days where a number of our loud and noisy engines will be running in the Steam Hall and outside in our display areas.
We will be open between 11am and 5pm for you to wander through our galleries into the Steam Hall where all the big engines are, with most of the action happening from around 12pm when everything’s warmed up.
You will have plenty of time to fully take in our displays of local industrial heritage, covering lace making, local industries (such as Players, Raleigh, Boots), printing, motorcycles, bicycles, railways and an outdoor display of mining. We also have tractors on display as well as a model railway.
As well as FREE entry for children, we have a range of FREE children’s activities, including colouring competitions, trails and badge making so your little ones will be entertained too.
If it’s nice weather why bring a picnic and spend the day exploring the Wollaton Hall and the Deer Park? You can feed the birds on the lake, admire the beautiful deer and have your photo taken at Wayne Manor from the Batman film.
Live Action Day entry charges apply, in addition to normal Wollaton Hall and Deer Park parking charges:
Adults £5 (reserved ticket AND dressed up – reduced to £2.50)
Concessions £3 (reserved ticket AND dressed up – reduced to £1.50)
Children under 16 FREE
Some areas of the museum may not suitable for wheelchairs or prams – please ask at the Front Desk for help or advice
