Saturday Night & Sunday Morning film screening

£5Nottingham Industrial Museum have partnered up with an iconic industrial venue as part of our Raleigh Rally. Head on down to The Garage in Chilwell (the home of Bartons Buses)for an exclusive viewing of the Nottingham classic film Saturday Night and Sunday Morning.
Starring the late Albert Finnery, and written by Nottingham-born Alan Sillitoe, Saturday Night and Sunday Morning is revered as one of the most iconic ‘Kitchen Sink Dramas’ produced in Britain. It’s also a beautiful snapshot into Nottingham’s industrial heritage, making it a must-see for history buffs.
The film follows the life of Arthur Seaton, who spends his days working in the Nottingham-based Raleigh factory. But his weekends are made up of drinking and partying as he battles to break free from the drudgery of his monotonous life. And all while carrying on a complicated affair with a married woman.
Tickets are available through The Garage’s website. Doors open at 15:00 (with refreshments available) and the film will start at 15:30.
